about

Veering away from his normal stripped back production style, for "Iris Arco" Tristan Eckerson focused on creating a much more multilayered, ethereal, and warm sound to accompany his piano compositions. Adding in elements such as bass, synth arrangements, and foley, Eckerson has created an immersive soundscape that envelops the listener and takes them on a multifaceted auditory journey.

"Arco Iris" is the Spanish word for rainbow, but the two words have been switched here, partly for aesthetic reasons, but also in an attempt to express the topsiturviness of the past few years, and how these strange times have opened up new doors of creativity for Eckerson, allowing him to get away from strict solo piano and transition into a more ambient, washed out, and experimental sound.
